Our data philosophy: as filed, never altered.
Every number on Astrelis Atlas comes from a public primary source: Medicare cost reports, IHS publications, HRSA program data, and CMS files. We show values exactly as the provider filed them or the agency published them. We never impute, estimate, or editorially correct a filed value.
We do compute: standard ratios, per-day measures, and peer distributions, each traceable to its source line. And we exercise judgment about comparisons: a filing that is implausible on its face stays visible and clearly labeled, but is excluded from peer statistics so one bad filing cannot distort a benchmark.
Where public sources do not collect something, we say so instead of filling the gap. Other vendors sell data as they believe it should read. We show you what was actually filed. If a number surprises you, pull the filing: it is in there.
